Today I met up in Newcastle with a few other photographers for what was to be the 10th Worldwide Photo Walk organised by Scott Kelby. The Newcastle walk was organised by local photographer Nigel Hepplewhite, who has organised the North East walks for the last few years.
We met up in Leazes Park and by the end of the walk we had covered 5 miles, well according to somebody's iPhone. Here is a collection of the images which I took on the day. For me, these walks are not just about getting out and taking photos but a chance to meet up with some other photographers - some that I have met on previous walks, and to meet new people as well.
Sometimes being a photographer can be lonely so it is nice to have a chat about wedding venues, equipment and ideas. It also comes at a good time of year to inspire the mind to go out and start doing some Landscape Photography over the coming months now that the Wedding season is calming down a bit.
I’m looking forward to next years walk already.
