Instagram - 22nd May 2016 - Stephen Beecroft

In the ideal world as a photographer, I would always have all of my cameras with me. That would allow me to always create professional images during everyday life when the unexpected happens or something catches my eye. However, Murphy’s Law will always conspire against you. Fortunately I always have my trusty iPhone with me, which has a camera that only 5 years ago would have been unthinkable on a phone camera. I try to post these images to Instagram. It keeps the creative juices flowing.

Originally Instagram forced the square crop upon you , as somebody who generally has to work in a 3 x 2 world, it really makes you consider your composition. However they have now changed this. Although when you look at your library all of your images appear as squares so it is still important to make sure the central area of your frame is filled.

A lot of the time I will also put an Instagram photo up if I am doing a Photoshoot which gives people a heads up that there is probably a blog post coming up or a new gallery for my Facebook Page.

Please take a look at my Instagram and if you like what you see then you can follow me  @Stephenbeecroft to keep update with my day to day life.
