I had the privilege to be booked to photograph the wedding of David and Hannah. I have known David's family for nearly 25 years, this can be an added pressure when you know the bride or groom personally. I didn't need to worry though, because this was one of the most relaxed weddings I've had the honour to photograph this year.
The wedding was interesting, especially as it involved a lot of venues. Initially we started at The Wallaw, the local Wetherspoons, before going to Hannah's parents house, then to St Cuthberts Blyth. After that we went to another local pub, The Three Horse Shoes, then to the Newcastle Quayside before finishing at the Assembly Rooms in Newcastle. I knew I had to be organised when there were going to be so many changes of location. I was joined by one of my regular assistants, Callum Thompson.
Here are some of the images that were took at Hannah's Parents.

Here comes the Bride....and the rest of the Ceremony!
As was moved outside, we were lucky with the weather so we cracked on to get some group and family photos taken. I like to get these done quickly while still allowing the guests to feel relaxed.
While the guests headed off to the Three Horse Shoes, I took the couple back into the Church. This is a good opportunity for the Bride and Groom to spend some time quiet time together. At the same time it is a great time for me to take some portraits of the couple, especially in such a beautiful setting like St Cuthbert's.
We then headed to the Three Horse Shoes to join the guests, for the Wedding Breakfast. The couple started with their speeches before their meal.
When I met with Hannah and David for a pre- wedding meeting we had discussed that if conditions were ok I would drive the couple from the Three Horse Shoes to the Newcastle Quayside to do some portraits before heading to The Assembly Rooms.
I always offer couples the opportunity to do portraits in between their Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception.
After this quick photo shoot, I then delivered the couple to their evening reception at The Assembly Rooms. We were soon into the formal cutting their cake and the couples first dance.
After a superb day with the newly married Mr and Mrs Gregory, Callum and I left the couple to enjoy the rest of their evening.
David and Hannah, thank you for booking me to Photograph your special day.
