Darren and Laura got married at Newton Hall. I first went to Laura's parents home to photograph the details and the bridal preparations. A very chilled out morning to start the day. My assistant Callum and I were soon finished getting the shots we wanted and were heading up North.
Arriving at the fabulous Newton Hall, I took some portraits of Darren and his groomsmen and then the arriving guests.
It was soon time for the ceremony. I waited at the front with Darren whilst Callum went and took a few of Laura and the girls arriving in their cars and coming into the ceremony room. I love the fact at Newton Hall that the confetti is thrown as the couple walk back up the aisle.
Coming outside of the ceremony, as everybody was welcomed with a drink I got on with taking some large group and family photos. I like to do these swiftly and in a relaxed manner.
After the group and family photographs, I was able to borrow the couple for some portraits. The light was really lovely and I had to take advantage of the long veil that Laura was wearing for a great signature image.
Into the wedding breakfast, which began with the speeches.
After the wedding breakfast, I took Darren and Laura outside for a few more portraits. I always like to go out around about this time as the light is generally nice and the Bride and Groom are normally relaxed and welcome some time alone with each other - well, with me and my camera too!
We went back into the evening reception to photograph the cutting of the cake ceremony, then the first dance and Laura's dance with her dad. Just before we left to let the couple and their guests enjoy the rest of the night, we grabbed a few fun pictures of the bridal party.
Thanks to Mr and Mrs Fletcher for booking me to Photograph their special day. All the best in the future.
